6 Easy Tips to Manage Shopify eCommerce Store

Managing inventory is a crucial part of online ecommerce business missing this part can lead to loss of sales and more importantly new customers, whether it is an online business or a departmental store all of them has their own methods to manage inventory and stocks to avoid facing trouble with their sales.

A proper management of inventory can avoid you from ordering stocks more than you need and thus stops the wastage of the items in inventory, you can also get an idea about the trending items and what products your customers are looking for, as it can save the storage cost you can invest that fund in new products those are in demand, without estimating the inventory you can either overload your stocks with useless items or you can get out of stocks when your customers need them so here are 6 easy tips to manage your ecommerce store inventory:

Set Standard Levels:

Setting a minimum amount of products at any time can avoid loss of sales by lack of items in inventory, a prompt should be given when reached the minimum levels set for any item. Analyze and keep proper records of sales graph to understand at what times a particular product sales graph goes high or low. Set levels for that product as per demand mostly you will notice a change in graphs in seasonal items like winter clothes or swimsuits in summer and in festive seasons when there is a high demand of most of the items.

Close Analysis of Market Trends:

Checking out data from the previous year you can predict when sales graph will go high for an item and when you will need it most this will give you a prior idea so you can manage stocks before time, this prediction is only possible when you take a deep analysis of last year’s data. Take that data for any product and compare it with this year’s growth graph to get an estimate for the quantity you need this year for that product.

Keep Track of your Stock:

Every successful business always keeps the track of their stocks and check it at least once a year for missing products and the quantity of each product in the stocks it is a good practice, not just check out products with high value you should every single product in the stock even if it’s not an interesting job this will provide you with valuable data that you can further use to manage your inventory.

Get Rid of Old Stock:

Even with proper management some items in storage can get wear and tear in their packaging either because of time or due to improper management of products in warehouse, list these items first on the store as their condition will get worse by time this will avoid loss of product by damage, make sure that the old stock should not be in a condition that it will leave a bad impact on your customers, delivering products with bad packaging will damage your store’s reputation in the long run.

Build Strong Relationships with Suppliers:

In every aspects of a business keeping good relationships always benefits, keeping a good communication with suppliers and managing healthy relationships will allow you to negotiate the prices and you can also ask them to fulfill an order with minimum quantity, suppliers always gives preference to the sellers those they trust and have long relationships with, so try to build a strong relationship with your supplier as it will help you a lot in times when you need an urgent delivery of shipment with large quantity when demand goes high.

Set Preferred Items:

Inventory management allows you to set your preferred items so you can get a new chance to invest in new items in demand, with a close analysis of sales data we calculate what products are selling most and can list new items in the same category for more sales as an example if noticed that there is a continuous high demand for say a fidget spinner than you can invest and list new items for that category the same is applied for every product listed on your Shopify ecommerce store. Magento Product Importing Methods Explained

There is no wonder why Magento is one of the leading cloud-based e-commerce platform as it provides all the unique features those are required to create and manage an e-commerce store online, it gives us numerous options to effortlessly manage online inventory of your e-commerce store and one of its vital feature is to easily import products to our online store, an online store can have bountiful of items listed on it and importing these items one at a time can be a trouble as it can consume a lot of time, in this article we  will try to crack a few easy methods of importing products to the store in Magento. The Content Management System (CMS) of Magento is so advanced that user can activate intelligent filters to refine product search and every search returns with the best results, but for this to work it is mandatory to upload products in right categories.

((1) Basic Upload Using Magento Basic Features

The most basic way for importing products in Magento is using its Add Product feature that is listed on product management page under the admin panel and from over there user can easily add any product to the catalog or you can use .csv files to import products but before importing from .csv file check and verify that attributes in the file are identical to those are in the system or else the process will not work for you due to the mismatch of the attributes, if this happens you can change the attributes in the .csv file or on to the system.

This basic way to add products to the store can really be an effortless task but is not very efficient when it comes to add products in bulk because it is a slow process and can take a lot of time if there are thousands of products on the store it would take you days to upload all the product in the right category    and this is where the need arises to use the Bulk Product Upload feature of Magento which is very effective to upload products in bulk on stores having plentiful of products.

((2) Advanced Feature to Import Products in Bulk

This can be a bit confusing but with easy steps to follow importing products in bulk can be done in no time and with ease, so let’s see how this bulk product importing works.
(1) Create category under the admin panel (multiple if needed).
(2) Input all the required information in the categories.
(3) Now save the categories.
(4) Go to - System > Import/Export> Dataflow >Profiles
(5) Select all the products you need to export
(6) From the drop down list of Data Transfer select local/remote server

(1) After saving and exporting all the products again hit run profile popup
(2) Now import this .csv file to your system and edit it as per your needs
(3) Now go back to System > Import/Export > Dataflow >Profiles

From over there you can easily import the .csv file and upload it after checking that you have got all the products at the right place and after uploading the file hit the run profile popup again and you are done then you just have to verify that all the products are properly listed on the store and this is how the bulk product upload feature of Magento works after a few times it will feel really easy to you to perform this task, there are few more easy options available to import products on of them is external applications.

((3) Third Party Applications to Import Products+

There are various applications available those can be used to deal with product uploading in Magento and one of them is Magmi that is a freeware and works perfectly fine it is  an easy to use application with clear options this application basically focuses on import and export of products and there are so many tutorials and guides available on the internet to learn about the new interface of the application the only required thing that you need is the .csv file of the

products and this application can easily upload all the products on to the panel without any hazel in no time.

((4) Paid Extensions Of Magento

Magmi is a good choice and most of the people go with Magni but in case if you have any special requirement or you want to add some custom features to your store then you can obviously go with paid extensions of Magento, fortunately these extensions are not too costly and somewhere costs around %$50 -$100.

It doesn’t seems to be a bad deal if you are going to get one as these extensions are developed by Magento and are fast and reliable you can always go with the paid options if want an ease in your work and want to add performance to your store.
